Delton-Son is an eclectic vocalist out of Seattle, WA. He was born in Little, Rock Arkansas and raised in Seattle, Washington. He also currently working on his Masters in Social Work. He has a great deal of respect for the Seattle basketball community where some of the best players in the world reside.

His debut album titled MIDDLE CHILD, was self written, produced, arranged, and performed. He is a very versitile lyricist/MC/vocalist/producer who describes his album as "A MINISTRY". His production includes live music and heavily calculated musical theory.

His musical influences include 2PAC, Cool G Rap, Charlie Wilson, Freddie Mercury, Whitney Houston, Aaron Hall, Montel Jordan, E40, Digable Planets, Too-$hort, Mack Mall, CBO, Spice 1, Mack Dre, and Dr. Dre.

He has sang opera music with the Seattle Pacific University Manner Choir and has performed at many Seattle coffee shops, cafes, and lounges.

Delton-Son's strengths lie within his socially conscious lyrics and commentary.

He loves Seattle, and was inspired heavily be the West Coast alternative hip hop scene.

Delton-Son is not signed with a major record label. He describes himself as underground.

Time is Flying

by Delton Son

What are you behaving towards? Are you behaving towards what you have, or what you want? I hope you are behaving what you want. If you have the same thing that you had last year, please re-evaluate your game-plan. If you aren't willing to do so. Please be quiet because complaining is only going to make it worse. Also, please do not count the contents of your neighbors harvest at all. She (or he) worked extremely hard to get that fruit and you could have gotten good fruit as well. Ya didn't tho because you didn't want to work. Stop complaining and start working. Time is flying by and no one is promised tomorrow. With that being said, I leave you with a Deltonian quote: Successful people hang out in places where losers don't. The also do things that regular people dread. Thank you.

What is being said about
Delton Son:

Delton Son's Middle Child is a refreshing compilation of inspirational lyrics, relaxing melodies & cultural strength. He touches on the issue of illiteracy and religion in the most positive way i've heard in musical form. Furthermore although there is a parental advisory logo on the cover, its still acceptable to play in front of my children without worrying.

I am one of those people who listens to maybe 4 songs on a CD. I have never taken middle child out without it playing all the way through at least 2 times.

I look forward to hearing what else comes form him!

This album is amazing, educational, intellectual and inspirational. In an area where a song consists of one verse and a looped chorus that lacks any sort of content this album kept my undivided attention.
I am really impressed with the lyrical content and the production.
Delton this is an amazing body of work.

THANK YOU SEATTLE

by Delton Son on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 10:15am
Hello,

I am just writing to express gratitude to you for being influential to me as a person and an artist. If you are recieving this message, you have played an important role in assisting me in finding the courage to complete a full album single-handedly. This past 3 years has been bittersweet, I have taken some big personal losses and a few wins also as an individual. I am not motivated to sign with a major label or be on TV. I am motivated to continue to minister (this is not a gospel album) and testify about my experiences as a young alcoholic turned therapist and graduate student. Please take this message personally because you have really helped either directly or indirectly. Middle Child will arrive and I will have massive copies to share with you all within the next week! My best friend is graduating from Duke (MBA), and I will be away for a few days but when I get back please make sure you purchase a copy. We have some ill Seattle players on there. Also please share it with troubled youth/adolescents. It is very educational.

Lastly......I would like to share something very important with you about the importance of community. People get very busy rather in corporate America, music, art, love or life on general. These same activities were initially intended to bring us joy. We sometimes forget how important community is. We all have different skills and talents and we sometimes overlook them because of the lacking of community. Barter systems, community events, block parties, meetings, and other interactive activities are imperative in order for us to grow as humans.

The lyrics, beats, melodies, and raps have gotten great reviews so far! I'm still growing tho.

As a result of prayer and hard work I have morphed into a 1Man Band! :-)

Peace and always remember that "Everyone who works with low and intelligence finds a kind of armor against the opinion of others". (Vincent Van-Gogh)

Revolution,

Delton-Son
