60+ | The Importance of Gratitude

How do you express your gratitude?

Expressing gratitude and showing appreciation is one of BEST gifts you can share with someone who has done something in a moment or over time that makes your world better.

Being raised in a Christian home from birth and witnessing the importance of say “thank you and I appreciate you” was a way of life. Showing respect was a must.

I have found that a simple thank you to even someone who holds the door, let’s you on the bus before them, or helps you with a project can go a long way. Many people don’t hear that.

With people I engage on a regular basis, I am fully present when with them. I am aware of what’s important to them, so when I can do something for them, I am aware of what would make them smile.

I feel like we live in a world where people are more concerned with how to make their own worlds work that they forget that there is someone they encounter out there that is helping them.

Several people in the Arts and Entertainment Industry are more focused on what they need and who can fulfill that need…not taking the time on what would make that person want to help. Thank You’s are so important but compensation or support in return can go a long ways.

Showing gratitude I’m life, helps life go around with smiles and feeling valued.

Everyday at my job, I tell my co-works that I appreciate them. Everyday, I tell my children that I appreciate them. I tell my loved ones, that I appreciate them. To me it’s important and a way of life.

My parents raised me well.

This was a good Blog Challenge. Sometimes we need to stop and think about a subject and how it pertains to our own lives and why.
