What skill would you like to learn?

I know this would sound like an excuse, but there are things that I would have realized when I was younger that would have loved to have gone to school for or take the time to learn at a younger age. No many of you would say that you could still do those things, and this is true. I could but being in my 60 and I realized that my mind is not as sharp and my memory recall is not as good…I learn a different way, by doing things over and over until it is instilled in my memory. I find that younger people or those who have the know are not patient to sit and teach.

Anyway, later in life I realize that I really love taking pictures and videos…I love to create promotion flyers. So, I wish I was awesome at these skills. I am pretty good with the skills that I have that are self-taught. I have a good eye in what angle I want a put on a picture that I am taking and editing with enhancing the visual story…I have minimal skills in taking videos and editing…the blending with smoothness and asking things such as wording, pictures and adding effects…I wish I knew how to do more of this. I am good with flyers, but I wish I had learned how to make graphics from scratch…but I am getting better with manipulating pictures, graphics and letting with overlap and transparency. All of these areas of visual media…I would have loved to have learned at an early age, but I do hope that I will push myself to do more and go further with my abilities.

Another area I would like to go beyond is with my storytelling through words spoken and written. I love to talk and share information and stories and would like to stretch myself more. I have learned even what style of writing and storytelling reaches and me…and that is just dialogue from the soul…not perfect but real. So, I am not so into the perfecting of sentence structure and appropriate verbiage and all. I want to tell the story how it comes to my mind, through my authentic real way of my expression.

Yes, I started this out with going in the direction that sounds like, I am too old to learn things now…but I really am expressing that if I knew at a younger age, that I would like the arena of Arts & Entertainment and Multimedia…I do think that I would have gone to school for this.  I love people and have great people skills;  I love creativity and creative people.  So, I would love to find my passion and go in this direction as Lady Flava.
