What principles define how you live?

When I think about The Principles that I maneuver life through are:
-Do unto others as you would have done unto you (I try hard to keep this in mind when interacting with others, especially those that hit a nerve in me)
-Be in service to others.
-I sincerely ask myself, “What would Jesu do?”
-Be honorable to my word. If I say I am going to do it, then follow through with what I say or notify those if I am unable to do it in a timely manner.
-Take care of myself Mind, Body, Spirit (self-care is so important)
-Live with a grateful heart.
-When life presents challenges, it really is up to you how you react and how I allow myself to be affected.
-Forgive and Let Go sooner than later.
Being raised in a Christian home, it is not hard to design how I am going to live my life. I had wonderful parents and role models to reflect upon how they carried themselves and at time privileged to hearing how they handled life challenges.
My foundation was strong as a child into my adult life and try to lead by example for my children and grandchildren, along with anyone that is exposed to me.
Because of foundation, even when I went through my challenges and made mistakes, I had something to reflect on to determine what I should have done differently. Now that I am in my 60’s I can identify sooner than later where I didn’t honor myself in my behavior and reactions to life’s challenges. I don’t blame others as much as I did even just 10 years ago, I own my stuff and try to do better.
I believe because of how I was raised and who I was raised by, set the tone for my how I live my life and or fix my life. I have gone through things that I didn’t handle so well, but I am grateful for that I can reflect and acknowledge my short comings.

Ten Principles of Living Well:
1. Know yourself, your strengths and weaknesses.
2. Don’t do anything today you will regret tomorrow.
3. Don’t blame others for your own mistakes.
4. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
5. Be compassionate.
6. Take time to play.
7. Learn how to listen to yourself and others.
8. Understand what can be changed and what cannot.
9. Find and live your purpose for being here.
10. Treat your body, mind and spirit wisely.

What does it mean to have principles in life?
As the name suggests, principled living means abiding by certain principles or core values when making decisions and interacting with others.
We all have in our mind and in our actions a set of guidelines that we work from. So the list I believe will vary from person to person, but I bet there will be principles that overlap in essence.
