prom·ise
noun
plural noun: promises
- a declaration or assurance that one will do a particular thing or that a particular thing will happen.

Have you ever thought about how we from time to time or even frequently how we break promises that make to ourselves.
Most of life many of us spend time being disappointed by broken promises that other people make to us. At times I do believe we set ourselves up by perceiving that they have promised us something, when the promise was never said (this is for a different blog 😊.)
But this topic came up and I thought it was a good subject to think upon and share my thoughts.
Year after year many of us make new years resolutions, set starting points to make some form of change in our lives. I have done it many times over the years, at times I hit the goal and other points I procrastinate or simply never to what I set out to do for myself.
We put so much on other people when we are disappointed by their actions and then we do not take the same type of actions or feelings against ourselves. I’ve been thinking about this for myself and decided to that I am going to put less emphasis on my disappointment of others and focus more on what I am not following through on for myself.
How do you feel about broken promises by you to you? I think it is worth looking at.
