Do lazy days make you feel rested or unproductive?

I love lazy days, maybe too much. I think, the older I get the more I appreciate not pushing myself to do things unless is really is planned and on a schedule. Right now, I do things when I want to outside of my job…
I was just telling a co-worker this morning that I automatically wake up between 4-5am, I have a routine of prayer and meditation in the morning before I get my day started, but I do try to tell myself that it really is okay to sleep in on the weekends (it just doesn’t happen often. )
There isn’t a whole lot that I need at this point in my life, and with bills being able to be paid online…I don’t even have to got out to get stamps.

So being Lazy is being Chill for me…just flowing with my mood and needs.

There was a time that I used to push myself to do my radio shows, work on creative projects for myself or others…on the phone or going to meetings and in those days, I really enjoyed the busyness and being apart of the creative community. Now I just wake up on what would be defined as my Lazy Days and have some coffee, possible a lite breakfast, put my feet up watch the Hallmark Channel or listen to an audiobook and let the day just slip by and I don’t feel bad at all.

When Friday arrives and I am heading home from work, I smile and look forward to doing Nothing at all 😊
I suppose you could say it’s about feeling rested, but days I don’t worry about feeling productive unless I have something that NEEDS to be done.
#thepowerof60+ #lazydays are good for the soul.
