Since returning home, I’ve been paying attention to what is taking place in the Art Scene/Creative Scene around Seattle. I’ve been starting to want to get out and experience some New and Fresh to me.

The sad thing is, I’m really not seeing anything in the genre that would peak my interest, as far what I identify as original indie music.

I believe that since I’ve been gone, I’ve become more selective in what captures my attention. Such as, once I really loved getting involved in the Seattle Hip Hop scene, it was so exciting and storytelling. Now, it makes no sense to me.

And of course I pay attention to what is taking place across the globe and I am not seeing showcases of people performing their own music.

Has the Indie Scene died where artists sing their own music?

I’m just wondering if I am Out Of The Loop and just unaware of who is hosting showcases for Original Indie Music that I would enjoy? Of if this type of events are limited, and few and far apart.

I do need to acknowledge that I have seen videos of shows here in Seattle of what I believe where original music is performed but it was not of my liking. So, it is not fair for me to say that it doesn’t exist…it maybe more so the genre of music.

So, I would like your help…Do Indie Showcases still exist, where people can experience a quality experience of something that they would vibe with?

Let me know by posting, names and locations from anywhere in the world…I want to explore, by researching what I’ve been possibly missing.
