This day represents the uniqueness and authenticity of our characters and true personalities.

Many times, in our daily lives, we fall into fitting in than standing out (if that is apart of who we are.) We fall into possible a style of dress, a language that fits the people that we are around in our profession or family, we watch things that fit the consensus of the people we are around, we eat what we are presented with. So much in life we fall into step with what we are exposed to in any given moment.

Day of Flava is that day you can just be you…Dress the way you want to, wear your hair in the style you choose. Listen to your music boldly. Speak your language and live in your truth with no regrets.

Day of Flava is a day of liberation…Where we expose each other to our true self.

A day where we embrace each other’s uniqueness, and we are open to exploring the beauty of our differences.

This day is for Open Minds to see beyond our differences, and to be open to what feels nice within ourselves and with those we encounter on this day.
