60+| Why Are You Always Late?

Do you know the one person who is always late? Or are the person who is always late?

The topic of people being late has been a topic of concern in the world of entertainment and work and beyond.

I believe we all know at least one person who is always late to:

  • Work
  • Church
  • Events
  • Performances
  • Rehearsal
  • Meeting Up
  • Family Get Togethers

The list can go on and on…

Of course there are legitimate reasons why someone may be late due to circumstances out of their control, such as:

  • Traffic
  • Accident
  • Was held up by…
  • And…

But what about those that are constantly late, what is that all about?

Some reasons could be:

  • Poor time management
  • Being irresponsible
  • Lack of care
  • Health concerns
  • What?

How does it make you feel when people are late?

How do you feel, if you are the person who is regularly late?

I would love to hear from you about the why … and how it makes you feel?

WHY ARE YOU LATE ALL THE TIME?

  1. I received a response to this blog subject and that I would share.

JN: Believes that Covid created some of the challenges around respecting and adhering to start times and attendance for jobs.  This person referenced the Gen Z, as being entitled and taking advantage of their work place. Jobs are desperate for workers and tolerate the late arrivals and call offs.

I believe that jobs give a lot of chances for late arrival and call offs before they take disciplinary action.  Rarely does it go past verbal warnings.  It’s easier to keep staff than to train new employees. At least in the retail store where I work.
