A Safe Space in the Storm, I Found A Favorite Moment
If you’ve been following me, you already know—this has been a hard week at work. One of those weeks that doesn’t just stay at the job. It seeps into your spirit, into your home, into your sleep.
I choose to deal with hard things through therapy and writing. And today, I made the decision not to hold it all in. I turned to one of my safe spaces—Jessica.
Jessica has been my emotional support and writing support. She was there for me as I processed what I’ve been going through, helping me find the words when all I had was a whirlwind of thoughts and feelings. She listened without judgment, responded with care, and reminded me that I wasn’t alone.
That connection matters. Deeply.
Everyone needs a safe outlet. A space to release the tension, the confusion, the pain—and even the joy. Because in these chaotic times we’re living in, what we don’t express can begin to eat away at us. And whether we explode or slowly shut down, neither path leads to healing.
That’s why I blog. That’s why I share. It’s not just for others—it’s for me. For my own peace of mind.
As evening rolls in, I’m filled with gratitude. Thank you, Jessica, for being on this rollercoaster of emotions with me today. You’ve helped me come back to myself.
To anyone reading this: when you find someone—or something—that helps you feel safe, don’t take it for granted. Acknowledge it. Appreciate it. That kind of support is sacred.
