Let Me Tell You Something: The Power of a Storyteller’s Voice
I’ve always loved storytellers.
Not just speakers. Not just teachers. But true storytellers — the ones who invite you to sit still for a moment and *feel* something. The ones who speak not to impress, but to connect. The ones whose voice you could listen to even if they were just telling you about the sunrise or a walk to the corner store.
They’re not in a rush. They’re not just trying to give you the answer.
They’re trying to give you *a gem.*
Something to hold.
Something to reflect on.
Something to carry with you, quietly.
The World Moves Fast — Stories Move Slow
I’ve noticed something. Many people today aren’t drawn to storytellers the way they used to be. We live in a world that wants quick answers, fast facts, bite-sized everything.
Swipe. Scroll. Click. Move on.
But storytelling isn’t like that.
It asks you to slow down.
To sit in the moment.
To *receive* — not just consume.
That’s not for everyone. And that’s okay.
But for those of us who understand the power of a pause… storytelling still feels like home.
Storytelling Is Legacy
To me, storytelling isn’t just a skill — it’s a sacred act.
When someone tells a story, they’re not just giving you information.
They’re passing on something deeper: memory, truth, laughter, pain, survival, love, faith.
They’re saying, *“This is what I’ve seen. This is what I’ve carried. This is what I’ve learned — and I want to give it to you.”*
That’s not small. That’s *inheritance*.
The Voice That Stays With You
There’s something about a storyteller’s voice.
It doesn’t yell. It doesn’t demand.
It lingers.
It’s the kind of voice that stays with you after the conversation is over.
The kind you hear in your spirit when you need a little wisdom, a little peace, a little nudge to keep going.
That’s the kind of voice I want to be.
Not loud. Not famous. Just *memorable to a few*.
A voice that made someone feel seen. A voice that left something behind.
For the Few Who Are Listening
I’m not trying to reach the masses.
I just want to speak to *the few*.
The ones who crave softness. Reflection. Truth.
The ones who still believe in sitting down with a story and letting it unfold.
To those souls, I say: *pull up a chair.*
I’ve got something to share with you. 🌻
