“Front Window Peace”
This is my calm corner.
My laptop, my journal, the fresh air of a Seattle summer… and my sweet Ghini watching birds like it’s his full-time job.
Sometimes healing doesn’t look like deep work.
Sometimes it looks like this.
A moment of stillness. A breath of fresh air.
And a cat who reminds me to be present. 🐾🌞💛
The Window Seat
By Simply Flava – Sharing Her Thoughts
This morning, I set up in the front window — my favorite corner for calm. The sun was already pouring in, my laptop warming up, and my heart felt quiet. And then… Ghini came to join me.
Lamborghini, aka Ghini, jumped onto the window sill like he knew this was our moment. He sat tall, alert, and peaceful, watching the birds flit and sing from the power lines and trees. His tail curled around him, his eyes locked on nature like it was his morning meditation.
We didn’t say anything — but I felt seen.
Sometimes peace doesn’t look like a big breakthrough or a new plan.
Sometimes peace looks like a cat, a warm breeze, a window cracked open, and birds singing their own little sermon.
This is my window seat.
And I’m grateful for the stillness it brings.
Me and Ghini — just breathing, watching, and being.

The Window Seat – Part Two
Today, it wasn’t just Ghini keeping watch at the front window — Mustang (aka Musty) decided to join us. Now it’s a full-on cat council.
They both watched the birds.
I sipped my iced drink.
An audiobook played softly in the background.
And just like that… the calm deepened.
This is what healing looks like in my world —
soft fur, wide windows, gentle light, and a heart full of gratitude.
Even Musty, who’s not always the first to sit still, found his peace.
Maybe they know I’m healing too.
