Healing Through Faith, Intuition & Nature: My Journey With Breast Health and Heart Clarity
In 2020, while living alone in Las Vegas and working in a rehabilitation hospital during Covid, I went in for a routine mammogram. A lump was found in my left breast. That moment shook me.
I had no family there with me — just the weight of the unknown and a healthcare system stretched thin. I was quickly connected to a new PCP and a cancer specialist. A biopsy was done. Thankfully, it came back benign. But the cancer doctor recommended removing the lump as a preventive measure.
Surgery was scheduled — but canceled due to Covid restrictions. When we attempted to reschedule, I was told I had to pay a $3,000 deductible up front with no option for a payment plan. So I said, “Cancel everything.” And I meant it.
I had a trusted doctor at the hospital — someone who respected me and cared. We came up with a Plan B: wait, watch, and support my body naturally.
During those long months of uncertainty, I turned inward — and to holistic care.
I drank tea made from herbs known to target cancer cells. I applied organic cold-pressed castor oil to my breast daily. I spoke to God constantly. And I began planning my return home to Seattle.
Fast forward: I’m home.
I secured a job before I arrived, but had to wait until January 2024 for my insurance to begin. Once covered, I found a wonderful primary care doctor, and with the support of Dr. Eastman and Dr. David, we began addressing my radiculopathy, hip arthritis — and yes, a follow-up mammogram and ultrasound.
In August 2024, I went in again. I prayed, I gave thanks to God for healing.
They could still see a trace of the lump — and the metal strip the cancer doctor had inserted to mark the spot — but when they did the ultrasound, they couldn’t find the lump.
It’s still there, technically. But it had shrunk to the point that it was barely detectable.
That’s when I knew: the path I chose mattered.
Just recently, I completed a nuclear stress test and ultrasound of my heart due to a new breathing issue. I walked into that test claiming, “There is nothing wrong with my heart.”
And guess what? My blood pressure remained normal the entire time — even though I hadn’t taken my medication that morning.
I’m not against traditional medicine — I work in the healthcare field. But I believe in the power of a holistic approach. I believe that our bodies carry wisdom. That our prayers matter. That herbs, food, touch, and belief can be part of our healing.
I now take:
Total Beet Chews to support my blood pressure. I still drink herbal teas. I still talk to God. I still listen to my body.
So I ask you this:
Could you… would you… be open to exploring a natural, holistic approach to your own health journey?
Not as a replacement — but as a companion.
As an act of self-trust.
As a return to your peace.
Because sometimes, healing doesn’t begin in a clinic.
It begins in your spirit. 🌿💛
