15 Years of Blogging: A Journey of Voice, Vision & Healing
By Susan Koshi | Simply Flava
Fifteen years ago, I registered my first WordPress blog.
I had no idea at the time what that would become.
Back then, I was fully immersed in the indie arts and entertainment world—promoting artists, supporting creatives, reviewing books, playing music, and building a platform for voices often overlooked.
That was the heartbeat of Lady Flava News.
And now, here I am—fifteen years later—still writing… but with a softer tone, a deeper lens, and a new purpose.
Blogging has become more than a tool.
It’s been a lifeline.
It’s been where I’ve processed pain, honored joy, worked through challenges, and captured the little everyday blessings that make life beautiful.
I didn’t follow a roadmap.
I didn’t try to stay in one lane.
I let the journey guide me—from artist cheerleader to wellness storyteller, from advocate to observer, from supporter to healer of my own heart.
Over these past few weeks especially, I’ve found something in blogging that I’m not sure I’ve ever truly felt before:
Peace.
Through writing, I’ve processed the past without rehashing it.
I’ve claimed my voice without asking for permission.
And I’ve discovered that the next chapter of my story is mine to write—with grace, with power, and with full awareness of how far I’ve come.
To those who have read my words—whether 15 years ago or just yesterday—thank you.
Thank you for walking with me.
Thank you for holding space for my evolution.
And thank you for witnessing the transformation that continues to unfold.
Here’s to the next chapter.
Here’s to blogging with heart.
And here’s to 15 years of Flava on the page.
