Friday Morning Reflections: A Fresh Start 🌅
It’s Friday morning, and there’s a noticeable shift in the vibe surrounding me. I am grateful for the ease, and for the ability to finally feel a sense of normal at work again. These past few months reminded me of the power one person can have on a team—the tension, the chaos, and the havoc one person can bring into a space.
But today feels different. Today the team has a chance for a fresh start…a do-over. Together, we can create a positive, collaborative vibe.
✨ New beginnings and fresh starts bring hope—and with that, we can breathe again. Most of the team is still new, so this is the perfect time to get on the same page, build understanding around our responsibilities, and create a space where everyone feels comfortable asking for help.
I truly care about this job. At this stage in my career, I came into it not seeking leadership. It pays well for what it is, and it’s work that doesn’t overwhelm me with stress. But I trust that we can rebuild and become a solid, strong team again. And this morning, for the first time in a long time, I feel hopeful.
To mark that shift, I pulled out my Love Language Card and offered to buy everyone Starbucks. Not everyone accepted—but they all knew the offer was there, and that matters most to me. Even small gestures, when sincere, can move things forward in a healthy direction. I’m willing to play my part in guiding this team toward becoming a strong, respected first responder unit.
After all, we are the first people our patients encounter—whether at the front desk or on the phone. We set the tone for their entire experience.
So today, I chose to lead with Starbucks ☕ and a nudge of clear guidance—to help bring this team back together in a new way, with fresh energy and new team members.
And yes…that makes sense to me.
🌻 I am proud to work for these clinics, and I will continue to play my part in helping us shine as a star in every patient’s journey.
