From Let It Go to Let Them / Let Me: Finding My Real Power

For years, I’ve heard the phrase “let it go.” People mean well when they say it, but honestly, it has always felt like a dismissal. Almost like being told to swallow your feelings, roll over, and accept things you know in your spirit are wrong. It can feel like you’re losing something or being silenced.

Then I heard Mel Robbins talk about a different approach: instead of “let it go” — she says “let them” and then follow it up with “let me.” And that hit differently.

Let Them 🌻

When you say “let them”, you’re not erasing the situation or minimizing your feelings. You’re rising above it. You’re acknowledging that people are going to do what they do — gossip, cause drama, misunderstand, or even mistreat. And instead of exhausting yourself trying to control them, you let them show who they are. You see the situation clearly for what it is.

Let Me ✨

The true power comes when you follow it up with “let me.” That’s where you reclaim your energy:

Let me choose peace. Let me focus on my growth. Let me protect my spirit and keep moving forward.

This isn’t about ignoring what happened — it’s about choosing how you respond.

My Journey 🌱

Recently, I’ve found myself living this shift. In the past, I might have gotten caught in the swirl of drama or tried too hard to fix what was broken. But now, I’m learning to say:

Let them stir up mess if they want. Let me keep showing up with professionalism. Let me honor my peace, my wellness, and my calling.

And the more I practice this, the lighter I feel. It doesn’t mean the challenges disappear. It means I am not carrying the weight of everyone else’s choices.

Final Thought 🌟

I am no longer shrinking under “let it go.” I am expanding into “Let them. Let me.” And in that space, I’ve found my real power — not in controlling others, but in choosing myself.
