Monday — A Taste of Flava
Today I met with my hip surgeon and had new X-rays taken of my hips. After talking with him and having my hips evaluated, I finally have a plan.
Do you know how excited I am to be moving toward what I need to get mobile again?
My hips are not working the way they should. I have bone-on-bone arthritis in both hips and bad bone spurs. It feels good to have the X-rays and the surgeon’s evaluation confirm what I’ve been living with: the pain, the loss of mobility, and how much this has affected my life.
My right hip surgery is scheduled for October 27.
Now I’m praying for insurance authorization and working on scheduling my pre-operative appointment with my primary care physician.
I have a lot of work ahead of me, but I’m hopeful that three years of pain will finally become a memory. This time, the work ahead feels worth it.
