✨ Moments That Matter: Peace Signs & Rock Operas
This Morning’s Moment: Merging Into Peace
Today started with a little traffic chaos—but also a little grace.
After a few impatient cars wouldn’t let me in near the First Avenue Bridge, I finally merged into the lane. Moments later, I let a little black Prius cut in front of me.
The driver rolled down his window and flashed a peace sign.
I smiled and waved back. ✌️
It was such a small thing, but it reminded me:
Kindness is a choice. Peace is contagious. And sometimes, all it takes is letting someone in.
That moment stayed with me as I headed into work. It set the tone for something unexpected and special later in my day…
When Music Finds You at the Front Desk
Later that morning, I had a conversation with a patient that made my spirit smile.
He softly mentioned he was a musician and said,
“You might not be interested, but I was part of a rock opera called He’s Alive…”
I smiled and said, “Oh no, this is very interesting. I worked with artists for many years.”
That little exchange opened the door to a genuine, unexpected connection.
Two strangers, two stories, and one small moment where patient care and the indie arts world intersected again. 🎶
🌻 Final Thought:
Whether it’s a peace sign in traffic or a heartfelt conversation with a musician, life has a way of giving us little reminders that kindness and connection still exist—even in the most ordinary spaces.
I’m grateful I was open enough to receive both today.
