đ§ď¸ Welcoming the Rain in Seattle
The weather shifted todayâsoftly at first, with the gentle patter of drops against my window. I left it open, just enough to let the cool air and rain sounds drift in. Itâs a rhythm I could listen to for hours.
Seattle is famous for its rain, and living here means you learn how to embrace it. You donât run from itâyou maneuver through the raindrops, hood up or umbrella in hand, knowing you canât let it stop you.
As an empath, I find the rain grounding. Thereâs a calm that comes with each drop, almost like the earth exhaling. The sound is both soothing and centering, wrapping me in a kind of peace thatâs hard to explain but deeply felt.
Seattleâs constant drizzle is why weâre surrounded by green year-roundâlush trees, bright flowers, and thriving gardens. This city is a place where beauty grows easily, fed by the rain that others might find inconvenient. For me, itâs a reminder that life flourishes when itâs nourished consistently.
And yes, I love the rainâespecially when I can listen to it from the comfort of home, without having to drive through it. Some days, itâs the simplest things, like an open window and the sound of rain, that remind me Iâm right where Iâm meant to be.
