☕ Starbucks as My Thank You
Gratitude doesn’t always need grand gestures. Sometimes, it’s as simple as a cup of coffee.
One of my favorite ways to show appreciation at work is by treating someone to Starbucks. It’s not about the coffee itself — it’s about saying, “I see you. I value the way you’ve helped me. Thank you.”
Recently, RN A joked with me that I owed her coffee after she’d stepped in to help me with calls from all the doctors’ clinics. I laughed and agreed, “Yes, I do owe you. You’ve helped me a lot.” Later, she messaged me to say she was only joking, but I didn’t forget.
When I saw her in the clinic this morning, I told her I’d be in CV next week, and since she’ll be there Monday, I made it official: we’re having coffee.

It’s a small thing, but it means a lot. In a world full of busyness and stress, I believe kindness deserves to be met with kindness. For me, Starbucks has become my little way of closing the circle of gratitude — a warm cup that says, thank you for being there.
