The Beauty of Simple Things
I don’t need big or grand gestures to feel appreciated. What truly touches me are the simple things. A smile. A hello. A kind word at the right moment.
Today reminded me of that. Dr. David stopped by the desk to say hi, goodbye, and wish me a good long weekend — such a simple exchange, but it made me smile inside and out. Then Pauline brought me scoops of ice cream from the caregivers ice cream social because she knew I couldn’t leave the front desk. That small act of kindness made me feel included and seen.
These are the things that carry me. The little gestures that say, “I see you. I value you.” They don’t cost anything, but they mean everything.
🌻 In a world that can feel heavy, the beauty is often found in the simplest things.
