Wednesday
Tower Window Wildlife and A Taste of Flava with Lady Flava
This morning started differently. I heard a variety of new bird sounds, but I couldn’t figure out where they were coming from.
Meanwhile, Musty, my grandcat, was seeking my attention by jumping up on my right side. He wanted to be petted, tapped, and scratched—and he was not taking no for an answer. 🤣
I was sitting here trying to will myself to get up and make some coffee. When you live with chronic pain, you have to think through every move before you make it.
Then something in the distance caught my attention.
My bald eagle, Chief, was sitting on his favorite pole! 🦅
I haven’t seen him in a while, so I was thrilled. But as I looked more closely, I noticed another bird stalking him. It kept swooping down toward Chief, and it honestly felt as though that bird was taunting him.
I couldn’t tell what kind of bird it was, but this went on for about ten minutes. Finally, the swooping bird actually struck Chief and knocked him from his perch!
Now, I understand that Chief is a predator. But I still would have liked to watch him sit there for a while, minding his own business. That little bird had other plans. 😂
Musty has finally given up. Apparently, I have petted, tapped, and scratched him enough for one morning.
Now the question is: Will I finally get up and make some coffee? 🤔☕️
Oh, I almost forgot—I had another new bird stop by this morning, too.
It has already been a busy morning outside my tower window.
Happy Wednesday
