A Taste of Flava: The View From My Tower Is Changing
As the weather begins to shift, I’m curious to see how my tower-window friends will shift with it.
So far, it has been a quiet morning. The sky is forever changing—gray clouds, a sudden burst of sunshine, and then gray again. We are supposed to get rain later today.
One little junco has already stopped by to say good morning. I’m sure he was checking to make sure I was at my usual post. 😊
This morning, I also decided to create a Teams folder containing all the links I use for my early-morning Call Out responsibilities. That way, whoever eventually steps into the role will have everything waiting in one place.
I have no idea why I didn’t create that folder sooner. 🤔
Maybe I wasn’t ready to think about somebody else doing what has become part of my daily routine. But with surgery ahead and no real idea what that time will look like, preparing now gives me a little peace.
Meanwhile, it is a cool morning, and my body knows it. I didn’t sleep well, and my hips are hurting—but a hot shower helped ease some of the stiffness.
So, while I answer calls, I’m going to stay tucked beneath my electric blanket and pray my hips settle down. I also decided that a cool morning calls for hot soup, so I’m warming some in my rice cooker.
A changing sky.
One little junco.
An organized work folder.
Warm soup and an electric blanket.
This is how I do it in my tower. 🗼
Happy Thursday
