Thursday A Taste of Flava
As I sit in my tower, looking out the window and watching my bird friends start their morning routine, bouncing all around, my mind wanders to a place I told myself I wouldn’t go.
But I went there.
I’m a writer. Sometimes I write a blog just for myself—to get my thoughts out, with no intention of publishing it. I did that last month. Then I decided to share it with someone I trust and respect.
After that, they went ghost on me.
I’m used to talking with them regularly. Now it’s been about three weeks of nothing.
I know, I know. It’s only been three weeks. But I’m used to hearing from them, and now there’s silence.
You might say I’m reading something into nothing, or that I’m being sensitive. And I would agree. Flava, stop. Don’t go there.
But I did.
What I wrote wasn’t against them. I needed to put words to what I was feeling, and I wanted them to understand something I felt they had brushed off in conversation.
Okay. I’ve said it out loud to you. Maybe now I can leave it right here. 🤞
Have you ever had something sit in your spirit and leave you unsettled?
How did you deal with it? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
