ATasteOfFlava|A Foggy Fall Saturday

Saturday’s A Taste of Flava

You know, I haven’t taken time off from work just for myself. It’s always been because I didn’t feel well or the pain was so bad that I needed to stop.

And although this time away is because of surgery, it feels like time for myself too. I’m realizing how good that feels.

It’s a wonderful feeling to wake up on Saturday without feeling exhausted after a hard week of providing patient care on the phones. Today, I woke up early, put on an audiobook, and drifted right back to sleep. No rush. No place I needed to be.

I feel rested and at peace. My body pain is really good this morning. I’m able to bear weight on my right side, walk tall, and get on and off the couch with more ease.

Now, you know me. I watch for patterns. I understand that this could be a good moment or a good day. I’m taking it for what it is—with a big smile. 😁

To experience movement with minimal pain and discomfort is a blessing. After all those days when getting up and moving took so much out of me, I appreciate what I’m experiencing this morning.

I think I’ll settle into a series on TV. Lately, crime mysteries have been pulling me in, both on television and in my audiobooks. Apparently, while my body rests, my mind wants to investigate something. 🤣

For today, I’m enjoying the rest, the movement, and the peace of having this time for myself.

Wishing you a warm and wonderful Saturday.
