If you could have something named after you, what would it be?

If Something Were Named After Me… 🌻❣️🌻
If I could have something named after me, it wouldn’t be a street, a building, or a park bench. It would be a place — a living, breathing hub of creativity, community, and advocacy.

I imagine a large brick warehouse with soul in its walls and life buzzing through its halls. Out front, a storefront coffee shop welcomes everyone with the smell of fresh brew, while an art shop showcases the work of local creatives.
Inside, the possibilities unfold:
Print Shop — for artists, entrepreneurs, and community projects. Recording Studio — where music dreams are born. Rehearsal and Dance Studios — for movement, practice, and creation. Performance Hall and Box Office — hosting shows that bring us together. Daycare — because supporting creativity also means supporting families. Affordable Artist Lofts — a place to live, work, and thrive without being priced out.
Across the street, a community park with a performance stage invites neighbors to gather, celebrate, and be inspired.
This space would also house advocacy offices — for community outreach, elder services, artistry advocacy, and even legal support. An administrative office would keep it all running smoothly, and a security office would ensure safety for everyone.
With 12 off-street parking spaces and plenty of street parking, access wouldn’t be a problem. And the whole operation would be funded through a mix of private investors, grants, and for-profit sales — staffed by the artist community itself.
It would be called Lady Flava News — not just a name, but a promise to celebrate creativity, advocate for artists, and strengthen the bonds of our community.
It would be more than a building.
It would be a home for dreams.
