Life|65|When the Structure Changes Around You

🌻 When the Structure Changes Around You

When I first came into this job, I was surrounded by great people. Many of them were young, but they were responsible, driven, and had their eyes set on clear goals. Alongside them, I felt balanced—we shared a sense of purpose, and I had a peer who, like me, chose this position for the same reason: to continue working with less stress, but still contribute in a meaningful way.

Over time, though, the structure began to change. Roles shifted, responsibilities were reorganized, and new staff came in with different styles and priorities. People moved up quickly into leadership, while others stepped in to fill the open spaces.

And with that, the dynamic changed.

🌟 The Constant: Me

Through it all, I’ve remained steady. I’m still the seasoned soul who anticipates, communicates, and smooths out the flow. I still bring the awareness that was built into me from my upbringing and decades of experience.

But when the structure around me changes, the experience of the job changes too. The team feels different, the rhythm is different, and the way my awareness shows up feels different.

🌻 Flava Wisdom

Sometimes it’s not that we have stepped back or shifted—it’s that the environment around us has moved and reshaped itself. The key is to stay grounded, keep perspective, and choose peace in the midst of change.

Because at the end of the day, I know who I am. I’m steady, seasoned, and still showing up with purpose—even when everything around me looks different.
