Bean’s Corner 🐾 (Second Report)
“The Under-the-Desk Miracle… and Other Unusual Events”
Bean here…
I had to come back.
Because what started as a simple cord situation…
turned out to be a full day of unusual activity.
Let’s review.
Incident 1: Communication Confusion 📞
Two calls.
Two different patients.
Neither one on the same page.
First one? Calling from the car…
wind, noise, movement…
Subject believed he was running late.
Turns out? He wanted someone to pull up his chart.
Miscommunication confirmed.
Second call?
English not first language.
Trying to confirm appointment details…
possibly asking about a procedure…
possibly wanting it sooner…
But clarity never fully landed.
Subject remained patient…
but situation remained… unclear.
Incident 2: Mechanical Disruption 🤖
Procedure… delayed.
Reason?
Robotic arm not working.
Now listen… I don’t operate the robot…
But I can confirm—
when the robot goes down… everything slows down.
Patients affected.
Schedules affected.
Humans adjusting in real time.
Incident 3: The Under-the-Desk Event 🐾
And then…
Everything went down.
Mouse.
Laptop.
Power.
Subject disappeared under desk.
Now this was not graceful.
This was not fast.
But it was effective.
Cord located.
Power restored.
Subject returned to position.
Final Observation
From where I sit…
This was not just a day.
This was a test.
Communication unclear.
Systems unstable.
Equipment failing.
And yet…
Subject remained:
present patient and operational
And I must note one key detail…
She got under that desk…
and got back up.
No panic.
No defeat.
Just:
“Let me handle this.”
Conclusion
Sometimes progress doesn’t look like strength.
Sometimes it looks like:
staying calm when things don’t make sense adjusting when systems fail and doing what needs to be done… even under a desk
Today?
All of the above were observed.
I will now return to my post…
Monitoring the rain…
supervising feline activity…
and keeping a close eye on both humans and robots moving forward.
Bean out. 🐾
