Sunday A Taste of Flava
I slept pretty well last night, and my body is not feeling too bad this morning.
So, I decided to do some chores. Of course, I have to take it slow. At times, I sat on my walker seat to make what I’m doing easier and safer.
It’s interesting how doing something that was once simple now feels like an accomplishment. 😉 But it really is. I’m getting things done, even if I have to do them a little differently.
This week, I decided to order some things from Amazon that I will need or find useful after my upcoming surgery. Along with a few things that are somewhat practical wants, versus needs.
I don’t know why it’s so hard for me to just treat myself. Why do I feel like everything needs to have a practical reason behind it? Sometimes, I just want something because I like it. That should be enough, right? This is a goal to work toward. 😊
I really want my space to feel clean and ready when I come home from my first hip surgery. There’s something comforting about knowing I’ll come home to a space that feels good to me.
Plus, I decided to purchase some things I’ve been wanting for my workspace. I’m not sure how long I will be off work, but for some reason, I want it to feel fresh and different when I return.
Maybe I see my upcoming surgery as entering a new chapter in my life. It’s exciting. I’ve been living with these struggles for so long, and now I have something to look forward to.
For today, I’m doing what I can, taking my time, and listening to another audiobook—a crime mystery thriller. I’m enjoying it.
A few chores, a little preparation, and a good story in my ears. That’s my Sunday. 😊
I’m wishing you a wonderful day.
