Monday’s A Taste of Flava
Confession Time:
I still wake up early, but I’m honestly able to fall back to sleep. And once again, I did. 🤣
So, the first half of my day has been spent dozing off and on, to the point that I was clueless about what time it was. 🤓 Apparently, I’m getting comfortable with this resting thing.
Throughout my days, I’m doing my home physical therapy, which—shhhhhhh, don’t tell anyone—has become very easy. Walking and bearing weight are going extremely well. There is pain, but it is so doable. And after what I was experiencing before surgery, I appreciate being able to say that.
My BabyGirl from work made me some soup, and it was wonderful. Healthy, flavaful, and hearty, with wonderful flavors and textures. Taste and texture are a big deal to me when it comes to food. And this soup gave me both. The thoughtfulness behind it made it even better. ❣️
It’s only 50 degrees, and I have my window wide open. I love the feel of that cool breeze while I’m tucked under a warm blanket. My grandcats love it, too. We each have our reasons for enjoying an open window. 😹
I’ve also been doing some research on blog topics and trying to get back to writing about specific subjects. So, thank you for your patience and understanding while so much of my storytelling has centered on my health and surgery recovery. That’s where life has had me lately, and that’s what I’ve had to share.
But you know me. I’m still curious, still thinking, and there’s always something else I want to talk about.
Today is the first day of the work week. Even when we aren’t working, many of us still use weekdays as task days for ourselves. Things to handle. Plans to work on. Those little responsibilities that don’t disappear just because we’re home.
So, keep your thoughts positive and focused on what you know or feel you need to accomplish. Give yourself a plan that makes sense for where you are today. It feels good to follow through and know you’re making progress toward a goal.
And yes, today my plan has room for a nap. Clearly. 🤣
Happy Monday. Happy New Week.
