Thursday’s A Taste of Flava

Today has been a good day.

I made some Cowboy Coffee in memory of My Daddy. A little comfort in my cup and a moment to think about him. ❣️

I’m watching The Remarried Empress on Disney Plus, and I’m enjoying it. This story has captured my attention on a variety of levels. Of course, my mind has thoughts… some that may find their way into a blog. 🤣

I feel stronger today, and I’ve kept to my intention of getting up and walking more. I’m doing well with it, and it feels good to acknowledge that.

It’s a cool day, and yes, I have my window open. The blinds are almost closed, filtering that cool air coming into my tower. You know I like my fresh air. 😉

I’m still working through the feeling of not having to work. When you’re used to having responsibilities and people needing something from you, having your time belong to you takes some getting used to.

But I’m embracing the peace I feel.

My thoughts are my own. Right now, I’m not taking on everyone else’s energy. I have room to notice what I’m thinking, what interests me, and how I feel. I embrace that.

Fall has truly settled into Seattle in such a beautiful and predictable way. The sky and the colors of the trees are telling their story. And here I am, watching from my tower, taking it in.

There is a story in everything we experience in life. You just need to pay attention.
