Tuesdayās A Taste of Flava
I just realized that I have so much time that is simply my own⦠and my mind is trying to find a direction. š¤
The problem is deciding what I want to focus on.
While working, I have to stay sharp, switch gears, and problem-solve in an instant. Now, I have an established routine for my care and recovery. I know what I need to do for my body, but my mind wants some stimulation too.
Iām always drawn to understanding how peopleās minds work and their whys. Why do we think, react, and function the way we do?
More and more, I wonder if there is even such a thing as a ānormalā person. Every one of us has our own blueprint for how we think, function, and live.
Between neurodivergence, personality types, and all the different ways we describe people⦠itās a lot to take in. Sometimes I recognize pieces of myself or others in several descriptions. That doesnāt mean every definition applies, but it does give me more questions. And you know meāI want to understand the whys. š
Then I thought, I want to learn something new. Something that interests me.
But what should that be? Apparently, having time to explore doesnāt mean I automatically know where I want to go with it. š¤£
Maybe Iām a little bored without work keeping my mind occupied. Yet I know Iām not ready to return, and I have no desire to start back right now. I am enjoying having this time for myself. Iām just figuring out what I want to do with it while giving my body the time it needs.
Have you ever had a lot of downtime during recovery or time off and thought, What do I do with all this time? Did you discover a new interest, revisit something you love, or simply learn how to enjoy the quiet?
Iād love to hear about it.
Well, hereās to a happy day and finding something that gives us a sense of accomplishmentāeven if weāre still figuring out what that looks like. š
