Blog Challenge |60+|If I Became A Lottery Winner

What would you do if you won the lottery?

If I Were to Be a Lottery Winner…

I’m sure many people have thought about winning the lottery—whether it’s just a passing daydream or a deep hope that leads to buying tickets regularly. While I’ve never actually purchased a lottery ticket or played one of those scratch-off games, I have definitely imagined what I would do if I ever hit it big.

Today, if I were to win a humongous amount, the first thing I’d do is retire My Peace and myself immediately. No hesitation.

Taking Care of Home First

The first order of business would be paying off all our debts—ours and our children’s. I’d sit down with a financial advisor to set up stable financial accounts for all of us, ensuring that this blessing isn’t just a fleeting moment but a lasting foundation.

Finding Our Happy Places

I know My Peace would want to leave the rain and cold of the Pacific Northwest for somewhere warm and sunny. Me? I love the beauty of this place—the mountains, the water, the trees, and the flowers. Maybe we’d have two homes, going back and forth, finding joy in both spaces.

Creating a Legacy

Beyond just settling our lives, I’d want to create new beginnings. I’d invest in an online business because, let’s be real—I don’t see myself just sitting still. I’d need a beautiful home office in the house I purchase, a Family Home where we could all gather and make memories together.

And of course, I’d upgrade my ride. Right now, I roll in a solid Hooptie that gets me from point A to point B, but with my arthritis kicking in, I’d need something easier to get in and out of. At the same time, I’d restore Poopsie, my beloved Hooptie, just for the nostalgia and fun of it.

Giving Back to the Arts

One of my biggest passions has always been supporting independent artists—Creative SoulZ who deserve to be seen and heard. If I won the lottery, I’d set up a foundation to provide financial assistance for creatives, giving them the support they need to elevate their work without struggling. That mission will always be part of my life, no matter what.

Dreaming Again

Writing this out has me dreaming, and that in itself is a beautiful thing. Maybe it’s time to start buying a ticket here and there. After all, you never know…

If I were to be a lottery winner, I’d make sure it wasn’t just a blessing for myself but for those around me. And that? That would be priceless.
