Soft Steps Into 65: Space Cleared, Spirit Ready
Today was one of those quietly meaningful days—the kind that doesn’t shout, but gently whispers, you’re doing just fine.
I started the morning with Ghini curled up nearby, his presence grounding me as I sipped my coffee and watched the sky shift. There’s something about a cat’s calm that reminds you to just be.
Later, I tucked my desktop back into storage—clearing space not just physically, but symbolically. I kept the pieces I still might need: the headphones, the speakers, the printer. They’re ready if I decide to plug back in. But for now… I’m leaning into lightness, mobility, and simplicity.
Now, as the evening settles in, Musty is here with me—perched in his favorite window, keeping one eye on the world and one on Nanny Flava. He’s my little guardian of the night.
These cats, Ghini and Mustang—my grandbaby’s companions—seem to know when I need company, and when silence is enough. They visit, they stay, they rest with me. They’re part of the rhythm of my life.
As my birthday approaches, I’m choosing ease. I’ll get my haircut that morning. I might sit by the lake. If my family joins me at the salon, beautiful. If I go alone, just as beautiful.
Because 65 is not a number—it’s a season. One I’m entering with open arms, a clear mind, and love all around… even in the form of soft paws and quiet purrs.
