The Joy of the Game: Cheering Each Other On
Tonight I watched the Seahawks take down the Chiefs in the rain, 33–16. And yes, the win was exciting—but what touched my heart most wasn’t just the scoreboard.
It was the young players on the sidelines—their smiles, their energy, their voices rising up to cheer each other on. That kind of joy is contagious. It’s the way football should be: players celebrating not just their own success, but the success of their teammates.
There’s something pure about watching rookies and new faces find their rhythm on the field. They remind us of what it means to play for the love of the game, not just the paycheck. Their excitement radiates through the stadium, lifting not only their teammates but also the fans who get to witness it.
And maybe that’s a lesson beyond football. Whether on the field, at work, or in our everyday lives—when we choose to lift each other up, celebrate wins big or small, and keep that youthful joy alive, we all come out stronger.

Tonight, in the rain, the Seahawks reminded me: success is sweeter when it’s shared. 🌧️💚💙
