69 Days of Blogging & Asking Why đťâ¨
When I saw the announcement on my site that I have blogged for 69 days in a row, I paused and thought about my Why.
Iâve always been big on the Whyâwhy people think a certain way, why they do things that make sense or donât, and why life unfolds the way it does. Life is full of Whys.
I remember when my daughters were little, they went through that phase of asking âWhy?â about everything. It was annoying and cute at the same time. Now I find myself back in that space, always asking about the Why.
Iâve even given talks at work about it. I told coworkers itâs important to know their Why for accepting a positionâeven if itâs just for a paycheck. The Why gives meaning.
So whatâs my Why for showing up 69 days straight to write at least one blog (and usually more)?
⨠Right now, writing is my release. It helps me process life, share my stories, and be authentically myself.
At 65, I want to embrace who I am more than everâall the way down to my love of leopard print. I want to live fully in my truth. Sometimes that truth comes out deep and thoughtful, and sometimes it comes out silly and sassy in a Bean Blog. Either way, you get a taste of how my mind works.
I write about aging, challenges, triumphs, the healthcare system, the generational differences at work, and anything else that crosses my seasoned mind. And I give myself permission to follow whatever rises up inside me to share.
So yes, I am proud of my 69 days of showing upânot just for me, but for you and for anyone whose attention my words may capture.
đť My hope is that you find something here that interests you, something you can relate to, and maybe even something that makes you laugh.
Thank you for being part of my journey of writing and sharing. Hereâs to many more days of asking Why.
