For years, Delite Bakery on Beacon Hill has been a sweet part of my family’s story. When we lived just a block away, it was our go-to spot whenever we wanted a little treat to brighten the day.

After school, my grandson Sean, my granddaughter Kiki, and I would stop in for an afternoon delight — donuts, cupcakes, or whatever looked too good to resist. When my daddy came to live with us, I often started my mornings with a short walk up the hill to grab him an apple fritter or another favorite pastry.
