Life|My Peace & 50 Years

🌻 My Peace and I — A 50-Year Story

Some friendships don’t explode into your life…

they drift in quietly, settle into a corner of your heart, and stay for a lifetime.

That’s how it’s been with My Peace and me.

We weren’t loud about it.

We didn’t need matching bracelets or dramatic declarations.

Life just kept putting us in each other’s path, year after year, moment after moment — until one day we realized we had become family in a way blood can’t always describe.

Fifty years is a long time to walk with someone.

Long enough to grow up, grow through, and grow back together when life bends you sideways.

We’ve been:

young and figuring things out grown and pretending we had it all together older now, choosing peace over noise wiser, but still learning loyal in the kind of way only time can teach

There were seasons we talked every day.

And seasons where life whispered, “Just be still… they’ll find their way back.”

And we always did.

Because people meant for your life don’t disappear — they settle into your spirit in a way that distance can’t interrupt.

My Peace has seen me through life, children, lessons, challenges and seasoned soulship at 65.

Not always with speeches or solutions… sometimes just with presence.

And presence, when it comes from the right soul, is worth more than anything.

What I love most?

We don’t perform for each other.

We don’t hide the messy parts.

We don’t judge the soft moments.

We don’t compete.

We don’t keep score.

We just… are.

Two grown souls, walking side by side, honoring a friendship that has lasted longer than some marriages, some trends, and some of the people we thought would stay — but didn’t.

Fifty years of love.

Fifty years of understanding.

Fifty years of leaning in and backing off when needed.

Fifty years of laughter, honesty, and that quiet comfort that only comes from someone who knows your history, your heart, and your healing.

My Peace and I…

We’re not perfect.

We’re just real.

And that’s why this love has lasted.

Here’s to fifty years

and to the peace that comes from knowing some connections don’t fade…

they just deepen.
