🌻 Choosing a Different Direction at 65
At 65, I know what matters to me: balance, peace, and purpose. For decades I carried responsibility, led teams, and made sure everything ran smoothly. Those years shaped me into who I am today.
Now, I’ve chosen a different direction. This job allows me to continue working with less stress, while still being well-compensated with good pay, strong insurance, and 401K benefits. For me, that’s the right combination at this season in life.
🌟 What I Bring to the Table
Even though I’m not officially “in charge,” my instincts are still here:
I anticipate needs and communicate them clearly. I notice the details that keep the clinic running smoothly. I create a solid working flow with the MAs whenever I’m at the front desk.
These are not things I turn on and off. They are simply who I am—shaped by my upbringing, my experiences, and my years of leadership.
🌻 Working with a Younger Generation
Most of my peers are in their 20s (with one or two exceptions), and at first that felt like an adjustment. But I’ve come to see it as a unique opportunity. I bring my years of experience, and they bring a different kind of energy and perspective. Together, we’re learning from each other in ways that bridge generations.
🌻 Flava Wisdom
This season of my life is about working smarter, not harder. It’s about appreciating the benefits of a role that serves me well, while still offering my presence, steadiness, and awareness to those around me.
✨ I didn’t step back. I chose differently. And that choice has given me peace, purpose, and balance.
