🌧️ The Storm Is My Music

By Simply Flava

I’m lying here, wrapped in the quiet hum of night,

binge-watching The Way Home on Netflix — but not really watching.

Outside, the storm has its own rhythm.

The rain hits my side window like a drum,

the wind howls with conviction,

and together they create a kind of raw, untamed symphony.

I hear reports of power lines and trees down,

and I whisper a small prayer for anyone caught out there.

We still have power, but even if it goes out —

I know we’ll be okay.

Because the storm sound against my window is the music.

It’s honest. It’s alive.

It reminds me that even when things shake, I can still find calm in the chaos.

Here in my tower, the wind can roar and the rain can rage,

but I’m safe, warm, and grounded.

Tonight, the storm doesn’t disturb me — it reminds me I’m alive.
