🌅 Little Acts That Matter
Simply Flava | Life Blog
Today reminded me that kindness still lives in the smallest moments — the quiet gestures that come and go so quickly, yet stay with you long after.
This morning, as I made my way into work without my cane, a woman behind me noticed I was struggling and made sure the door stayed open until I got through. She didn’t have to, but she did. No big speech, no spotlight — just grace in motion.
Then, tonight, after a long day and an aching back, I had to stop twice on my way to Poopsie just to stretch out and catch my breath. And wouldn’t you know it — another woman, older and gentle, stopped to ask if I needed help. I smiled and told her I’d forgotten my cane but I was okay. Still, the fact that she stopped touched me deeply.
Two different women, same spirit. Both moments reminded me that goodness still moves quietly among us. These small acts don’t fix everything, but they soften the edges of a hard day.
Kindness doesn’t need to be loud to be powerful. It just needs to be genuine — one heart seeing another.
