A Sip of Flava
I have not been a coffee drinker my whole adult life. What I was drawn to first wasn’t the caffeine — it was the calm. The feeling of coffee shops. The rhythm. The way time seemed to slow down inside those spaces.
That love led me to build one of my own — Flava Coffee House. Owning a coffee business wasn’t about chasing energy; it was about exploring what made me feel grounded, inspired, and at peace.
Even now, I don’t drink coffee for a caffeine lift. I drink it for the experience.
There’s something deeply relaxing about coffee to me. Whether I choose it hot — which I usually do — or iced, it feels like a gentle ritual. A quiet connection. Almost like two different energies meeting in the same cup and settling into harmony.
I have a cup of coffee every day at work. Some days I rush through it. Other days, I slow down and savor it.
Over time, I’ve learned to appreciate the taste, the texture, and the temperature. It might sound complicated, but it really isn’t. It’s simply about being present.
I love the moments I have with my morning coffee — those few minutes where I pause, breathe, and ease into the day.
That first sip isn’t about waking up.
It’s about arriving.
