When Am I Most Happy?

At this point in my life, happiness looks simple.

It looks like a weekend where my body feels good—warm, supported, and at ease—while the storm stays outside my tower. Wind and rain can do what they do out there. In here, I’m safe.

It looks like a lovely cup of coffee at home or at work. I don’t drink coffee for the caffeine. I drink it for the ritual—for the pause, the calm, the moment it creates.

I love a good cowboy love story. Always have. I believe true love exists somewhere out there. I still do ❣️

I’m happy when I eat something that hits my taste buds just right and fills my belly perfectly—not under, not overly full. Just right.

And I’m especially happy when it works out for My Peace and me to spend time together. Fifty years of love and comfort—this kind of history creates its own form of happiness.

What makes me happy now are heart-warming experiences.

The quiet kind.

The kind you feel in your chest and don’t need to explain.

What about you—when are you most happy?
