Saturday’s A Taste of Flava
The Power of Grocery Delivery 🛒🌻
Confession… my family and I use Instacart for grocery delivery. 😁
I actually started using it when I lived in Vegas during Covid. At that time, it was about staying home and staying safe.
Now, with my disability, I’m not able to get out and do the grocery shopping myself.
And I have to admit…
I LOVE having someone else do the shopping. 😂
But I also truly appreciate the people who choose to do this legitimate work.
This morning, my shopper was Ny’Neashea, and she was fabulous!
Only three replacements. She communicated with me throughout the shopping. She let me know when she was checking out and how long it would take her to get to our home.
Everything was perfect.
Honestly, we have been fortunate. Almost all of our shoppers have been good. We’ve only had one really bad experience when an entire bag of groceries was missing.
But Ny’Neashea?
She was the best. 🌻
Once everything was delivered, I sent my daughter a list of what I wanted brought upstairs, and she’ll bring those things up to me.
Simple.
And that got me thinking about how much services like grocery and food delivery can mean to people.
Sometimes we look at convenience as a luxury.
But sometimes convenience becomes accessibility.
When you don’t want to go out, you can have groceries delivered.
When you’re busy, you can have groceries delivered.
When the weather is too hot, too cold or just plain nasty, you can have groceries delivered.
And when you physically can’t get out and shop for yourself, someone else can walk those aisles for you.
That means something.
So today, I want to express some gratitude for the people who choose to shop for others and the people who deliver our groceries and food.
You may think you’re simply picking up bananas, milk, bread and toilet paper. 😂
But for someone on the other side of that order, you may be providing a little bit of independence.
Thank you. 🌻
We purposely scheduled our groceries to arrive early this morning before the high temperatures hit.
They’re here.
Everything looks good.
And now…
I have to put all these groceries away. 🤣🤣🤣
Do you order groceries or food delivery?
What has your experience been?
Do you consider these services simply a convenience, or have they become something you depend on?
Have a wonderful Saturday! 😁🌻
