Today, as I stretched out to rest, Musty curled up against me. His soft body pressed close, his little paws relaxed, his breath steady. It’s as if he was saying, “Don’t worry, I’ll keep watch. You just rest.”

There’s something about the quiet company of an animal that brings peace. No words needed. Just warmth, comfort, and trust.

I may not feel completely better yet, but in this moment, I feel cared for. And that is enough. 🌻
