💉 Health & Wellness | Be Proactive This Flu Season
As the days get shorter and the air gets cooler, we’re stepping right into flu season — and this year, many people are also testing positive for COVID-19. It’s a good reminder to take extra steps to protect yourself and those around you.
Consider getting your flu shot.
Most pharmacies now offer walk-in clinics, so it’s easier than ever to stop in for a quick vaccination. The flu shot can’t guarantee complete protection, but it can significantly reduce the severity of symptoms and help keep you from missing work or spreading illness to vulnerable loved ones.
Beyond vaccination, simple daily mindfulness can go a long way:
Wash your hands regularly and avoid touching your face. Keep hand sanitizer nearby when you’re out and about. If you’re feeling under the weather, stay home and rest — your body (and your coworkers!) will thank you. Support your immune system with hydration, good sleep, and nourishing meals.
This season, choose to be mindful and proactive. Taking a few preventative measures can make all the difference in staying healthy and strong through the months ahead. 🌻
