Real Talk: Some Days Carry More Than Others

Today was one of those days that asked a lot of me.

Not loud. Not dramatic. Just heavy.

The kind of day where you show up steady, take what comes, and keep going—even when some things land and others don’t. Some moments are received with gratitude. Others disappear into silence. You do your best either way.

There were bright spots.

A familiar voice.

A small act of kindness.

A reminder that someone remembered me, appreciated me, and took a moment to say thank you.

Those moments matter. They always do.

But they don’t cancel out the weight of the rest.

By the end of the day, my head was pounding. My stomach felt unsettled. My body was clearly holding on to more than it should—stress, tension, unspoken things, maybe even things I haven’t fully processed yet.

I’m learning that not every hard day needs to be solved or reframed.

Some days just need to be acknowledged.

Today wasn’t about failure or success.

It was about endurance.

About showing up with kindness even when I didn’t feel my best.

About offering steadiness while quietly needing some myself.

So tonight, I’m choosing rest.

Not pushing.

Not explaining.

Not powering through.

Just listening to my body and letting it speak.

Some days ask us to give.

Other days ask us to lay it all down.

Tonight, I’m laying it down.

Do you ever have days that you can’t wait to let go of?  That’s me today.
