Coffee w Lady Flava and The Crow

Coffee with Lady Flava ☕🐦‍⬛

and The Crows

This morning in my tower, the rain was falling steady across Seattle. The kind of rain that makes you want to stay under the covers just a little longer.

But I got up anyway.

Hot coffee in my cup, looking out the window… and there he was. A crow sitting on the wire in the rain like it was the most normal thing in the world.

Not hiding in the tree.

Not rushing anywhere.

Just sitting there, watching.

I learned something interesting this morning. Crows often choose the wires because they can see everything. Trees block their view. On the wire they can watch the whole neighborhood like little sentinels on duty.

And the rain? It doesn’t bother them much at all.

Watching him sit there made me think about rhythm and patience.

Sometimes life isn’t about running for cover or rushing through the storm. Sometimes it’s about sitting still, watching, and waiting for the moment to move.

Coffee in hand.

Rain falling.

A crow keeping watch over the neighborhood.

A quiet reminder this morning that there is wisdom in stillness.
