Seattle Pride Weekend: Celebrating Community
This weekend, Seattle will once again welcome hundreds of thousands of people to celebrate Pride.
Whether you’re attending the parade, volunteering, supporting a loved one, or simply enjoying the energy throughout the city, it’s another reminder that Seattle is a place where many different communities come together.
One of the things I’ve always appreciated about our city is its diversity.
No two people have lived the same life.
No two families look exactly alike.
No two journeys are identical.
Yet we all want many of the same things—to feel safe, respected, accepted, and valued.
For more than 50 years, Seattle Pride has been part of our city’s history. What began as a small gathering has grown into one of the largest community celebrations in the Pacific Northwest.
Whether you attend or not, weekends like this remind us that every person has a story worth hearing.
We may not always agree with one another.
We may come from different backgrounds, cultures, faiths, or experiences.
But kindness, respect, and treating one another with dignity never go out of style.
I hope everyone celebrating this weekend has a safe, joyful, and memorable Pride Weekend.
Blessings,
Lady Flava ❣️🌻
