Monday Real Talk

How Much Do You Trust Yourself?

When someone asks if we trust another person, most of us can answer pretty quickly.

But what if someone asked…

Do you trust yourself?

That’s a much harder question.

Trusting yourself isn’t about believing you’ll always make the right decision. It’s about believing that whatever decision you make, you’ll find a way forward.

Many of us lose trust in ourselves over time.

Maybe we made a mistake that changed our life.

Maybe someone repeatedly told us we weren’t good enough.

Maybe we became so dependent on other people’s opinions that we stopped listening to our own.

Before long, we second-guess everything.

We ask everyone else what they think before asking ourselves.

We ignore our instincts because we’re afraid they might be wrong.

The truth is, self-trust is built the same way trust is built in any relationship.

One small promise at a time.

One honest decision at a time.

One lesson learned at a time.

I’ve also learned something else.

Sometimes our body knows before our mind does.

It whispers when we’re tired.

It tells us when something doesn’t feel right.

It lets us know when it’s time to slow down.

The question is…

Do we trust what it’s trying to tell us?

Trusting yourself doesn’t mean you’ll never make a mistake.

It means believing that if you do, you’ll learn from it, adjust, and keep moving forward.

Life isn’t about being perfect.

It’s about becoming someone you know you can count on.

So today, I want to leave you with one simple question.

How much do you trust yourself?

Not the version everyone else sees.

The real you.

The one who quietly carries you through every single day.

Because the relationship you have with yourself may be the most important relationship you’ll ever have.

What do you think?
